Packing List…
Two Backpacks: a main backpack (60-70L) that is larger and holds most of your gear, and a smaller backpack that will be good for daytrips. Packing cubes and compression sacks are an ideal way to keep items organized inside your backpacks. Use all available empty space inside your backpacks and no not attach anything to the outside of your backpacks.
Sleeping Bag inside Compression Sack: sleeping bag should be rated to 40℉ or less; synthetic is preferred to down.
Water Shoes: a teva-style sandal that is comfortable. These will be used for water activities and showering.
Hiking Shoes/Boots: These will be used for horseback riding and all hiking activities. This should be comfortable and well-broken in. Brand new boots are not fun!
Socks: You should bring socks that are comfortable with your hiking shoes and as many pairs as you will need to be comfortable and avoid blisters. A few extra pairs are always recommended.
Rain Pant: These will keep you warm and dry throughout our adventures. These pants should be completely waterproof, lightweight, and quick drying. The North Face Rain Pants are an excellent example. They should be slightly oversized so that they can easily fit over other layers.
Rain Jacket: This is just as important as the rain pant and North Face rain jackets are an excellent example for this item as well. Your jacket should be lightweight, completely waterproof, and hooded.
Swimsuit: You should bring 1-2 swimsuits of your choice.
Sun Protective Clothing: You should bring any sun protective clothing that will keep you comfortable such as a wide-brimmed lifeguard hat, long sleeved SPF protective sun shirt, and sunglasses.
Rash Guards: We will provide wetsuits for all surfing and boogie boarding activities. You should bring a rash guard if you want something to keep you warm and protected on the beach when not in your wetsuit. Rash guards are also nice to have on our paddling trips.
